  • Natural gas vehicle fuel storage is a challenge for natural gas vehicles because the vehicle cannot keep natural gas under ambient pressure and temperature. This storage has always been one of the main engineering challenges of using natural gas vehicles, but there are several solutions. Natural gas is usually a gas at 1 atm and 25°C.

    CNG is most suitable for vehicles that travel short distances, such as vehicles, cars, vans, and pickups, that do not require much space. The cost of retrofitting a regular gasoline car will increase by 6000 to 13000 dollars. This cost is recovered from the fuel saved by improving fuel efficiency.

    CNG cars have a very high octane rating, which makes these cars run more smoothly. CNG does not experience evaporation like LNG, because it stays at ambient temperature. In addition, the same spark plug engines used in gasoline engines are suitable for CNG and LNG fuels.
